Nano - Day 24

    This will be the last posting of my present novel to have unrestricted public access. I've decided, reluctantly I suppose, to follow the advice of others and reserve publication of my work for a future occasion. Recent definitions of publication include general internet posting, and although I have no plans at present to submit my work to publishers or agents, I would be foolish to exclude the possibility altogether of preserving first publication rights. I've changed my mind several times in the past about this matter; it's not unlikely I will do so again.

    Of course, none of these remarks apply to those who have befriended me. All of my writing will be posted and accessible according to the present plan. It will simply be friends-locked.

    I'll probably follow this practice in future work. A sample will be provided for general inspection, but the continuation will be restricted. I hope to be liberal about this policy, posting enough of the work to reveal its general flavor. If anyone wants more, that can be arranged rather simply. Befriend me, and I'll reciprocate, or, alternatively, ask for access, and I'll provide a temporary password for another site.
